Directions:

By car:

FROM WASHINGTON

Take Route 50/Arlington Boulevard (easy to access from the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge, more complicated access from the GW Parkway) west for a number of miles. After passing the exit for Carlin Springs Road, take your next right at the light on Manchester Street. Go up Manchester Street three blocks (four, if you count the Route 50 service road) and take a left on 3rd Street North. We're halfway up the block on the right.

FROM THE VIRGINIA BELTWAY

Take Route 50 east (toward Washington) for a number of miles. Continue past the Seven Corners interchange and mall. Your third light after Seven Corners (at the bottom of a hill) will be Manchester Street. Take a left on Manchester and go up Manchester Street three blocks (four, if you count the Route 50 service road). Take a left on 3rd Street North. We're halfway up the block on the right.

For those wise in the ways of Virginia roads, there are also tricky, backroads routes from Interstate 66 and Wilson Boulevard.

By Metro:

Go south from the East Falls Church Metro station (on the Orange line). You will immediately see the W&OD trail. Head east on the trail about one mile to Wilson Boulevard (which passes over the trail on a bridge). Almost immediately to the west of the trail is Manchester Street. Go south on Manchester, left on 4th Road, left on Montague Street, then left on 3rd Street North. We're halfway up the block on the left.

It's about 30 minutes on foot from the Metro station. (Bikes are not allowed on Metro on the 4th of July.)
